iTroll G3: Beyond Compare
Is the G3 overpriced? The answer is NO!
Read this to find out why.

BUY ONCE, CRY ONCE!
WE REFUSE TO PRODUCE ANYTHING BUT THE BEST!

Straight up fact:
iTroll G3 costs more than the other product - Here's why:

G3's hardware is superior and more costly than the other products.

G3's software is superior to the other products.
The G3 has ALL NEW functions and a NEW user interface that makes it the easiest unit to use!

We back every iTroll with the best customer service and warranty in the business.

If you consider everything that is in the G3, you will see that we charge a fair price and the other guys are overcharging for their products. We do what we do so YOU don't have to compromise!

iTroll

G3's Click Dial:
Presenting Perfection!

Widely used in military and medical applications, it responds to being turned AND pushed. The "Clicks" provide TACTILE and AUDIBLE feedback when used.

It's WEATHERPROOF, DURABLE, rated for OVER TWO MILLION activations, and can easily endure any shock or vibration experienced in a boat.

The click dial allows the G3 to have:
- Dual Resolution Throttle Control
- Many HUNT Mode improvements,
- A new user interface that makes the G3 the easiest unit to use!

iTroll

iTroll = Superior Boat Control

We have 1,000 throttle positions - that's 2.5 and 4 times that of our competitors. Want to know why?

The other guys' buttons use clumsy "jogging" routines that don't work in the real world because the device sets the rate of throttle change and NOT the user. Jogging schemes always overshoot the target throttle going up, and undershoot it when going down. They limit performance for convenience.

See the next topic regarding Dual Resolution Throttle Control which continues iTroll's long standing reputation of Legendary Boat Control!

iTroll        iTroll

Dual Resolution Throttle Control

Pure Genius! Easily access ALL of iTroll's 1,000 throttle positions in 0.1% (one-tenth of a percent) or 1% steps.

YOU control the rate of throttle change by choosing fine or coarse resolution. This is accomplished by pressing the dial or the transmitter's "RES" button.

The other "Jogging" routines that our competitors use cannot match our dual resolution control.

iTroll

16 Billion Codes = Absolute Safety!

Every one of our transmitters has a unique code, so ZERO chance of crosstalk! Lesser systems put you at risk for unintended throttle activation from another boat's transmitter.

One competitor has a million codes. Sounds like a lot? Not really. If they sell 10,000 transmitters, there's a 1 in 100 chance of crosstalk, with the probability increasing with every unit they sell.

Fact: Many distributors of the million code systems specifically state that they are NOT suitable for "high security applications". Is your boat's throttle important enough to be considered "High Security"?

iTroll

Lighted Keypad

It illuminates only when it's dark to save battery power. It doesn't draw a lot, but every amp counts in boats with power hungry accessories.

As expected, we did this first, and it wasn't easy. It took NINE months to design our keypad. Additionally, a lighted keypad costs a LOT more than a "Dark" one.

There's keypads that meet our standards, and then there's everyone else's.

Our supplier makes products for the aviation, military and medical industries. We don't know who the other guys use, but in a side by side comparison, you will know that our keypad is superior. Think of a $20.00 Wal Mart spinning reel vs. a $1,000.00 Shimano Stella. They're both spinning reels, so is there not a difference?

Ask yourself this question: If the other guys were the first to illuminate their keypad, would they have thought to give it light sensing technology? We think the answer is NO as they lack our innovative vision and capability to build the absolute BEST product on the market.

iTroll

Waterproof Servo - Standard Equipment

It's a marine environment, our servo is waterproof. The other guys, they don't even offer an upgrade.

Servos DO get wet - from a back wave swamping the cowl intake, a dealer washing the motor after a service, or an unexpected rainstorm when the cowl of the motor is off. Any water in a non - waterproof servo will eventually ruin it.

Marine environments are HUMID and an unsealed servo can fail due to airborne moisture or condensation.

A waterproof servo makes an iTroll installation as bulletproof as possible so you can enjoy years of trouble free operation.

iTroll

Hardware Highlight:
Click Dial

Our click dial is ultra precise, durable and is an engineering marvel.

It's packed with 32 sensors to detect rotation and one switch to detect when the dial is pressed.

This assembly is EXPENSIVE. We could have used a cheaper part, but we refuse to compromise any aspect of the G3.

iTroll

Hardware Highlight:
Transmitter

Our transmitter is IP68 certified - it's rated for FULL SUBMERSION in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.

Both competitors have non-waterproof remotes. One specifically states that their remote should NOT be submerged. The other uses a remote without an IP rating, and has minimal sealing.

Our wireless components have FCC and CE certification which means it's legal for us to sell and for you to operate them.

iTroll

Hardware Highlight:
Keypad Indicator LED

Daylight visible, it communicates operational data. In manual mode, it shows if the G3 is in fine or coarse resolution. It flashes at two different rates to signal if the unit is in "Idle" vs. "Drag" Mode.

Our beta testers raved on how the LED made such a difference when operating the unit!

Ideas like this only come from iTroll!

iTroll

A Robot Like No Other!

A throttle controller is best described as a robot and the iTroll G3 is by far the most advanced throttle controlling robot ever created! It's the perfect union of ideas that give superior boat control, hardware, and the software that runs the machine.

Our competitor's products were introduced AFTER our G2 unit and they fall far short of the features that it contains.

With the G3, we further cement our position as the market leader!

User Interface (UI)

Who doesn't like easy? The click dial allowed us to design a modern "turn to scroll", "push to select" user interface that is universally used in consumer products today.

Watch the above video to see the interface when using the G3's "Options Menu".

It took 18 months to code the G3, with a SUBSTANTIAL amount of time spent on the UI.

Users of the G3 are RAVING about the user interface and are saying that we outdid ourselves!

iTroll

Software Engineering

Here is just ONE example of the world class engineering in the G3: The software is CONSTANTLY monitoring the dial's 33 outputs. When user input is detected, it computes the desired throttle change being requested AND how fast the dial is being moved. If overly rapid dial movement is occuring, an "electronic safety clutch" is activated to limit throttle movement to a safe rate.

No one engineers a product like iTroll's designer - Period!

Our competitors use buttons and in contrast, coding buttons is very simple.

Push a button down and release = throttle goes up or down a fixed value. Hold a button down, a timer starts and throttle goes up or down at one rate. If timer reaches a certain value, throttle moves at a faster rate until button is released.

The software portion of the G3 for the dial is MANY HUNDREDS of lines of sophisticated code. In comparison, iTroll's designer estimates that he could create up and down buttons that jog in a few dozen lines of code.

When you examine everything the G3 does, and how seamlessly it performs those tasks, you realize the brilliance of it's design!

iTroll

TWO Years
The Longest Warranty

Our founder always says "After we ship an iTroll, I never want to see it again".

A written warranty has no indication about the quality of a product, or the way a company does business.

At iTroll our products are designed and built for utmost reliablity and performance in order to eliminate warranty repairs at all costs. We don't skimp on the design, components, or manufacturing methods to make an iTroll.

In contrast, our competitors do business differently . . .

Competitor #1 has a long standing reputation for unreliability and is content to repair their units multiple times in the one year warranty they provide. However, these repairs cannot fix a poor design or component choices, and ultimately their customers are required to pay for repairs after the warranty expires.

We've never seen Competitor #2's warranty, it's not on their website, but they often suggest that they fix units to make customers happy. Without, a written warranty, there are no terms that they are promising to abide by. They can change their minds on a whim. Basically, their warranty is based on you trusting them.

In our opinion, we are 100% sure that his remote is illegal because it does not have FCC certification. They are willing to break the law and they expect your trust?

iTroll

Last, But Not Least

With iTroll, my hobby became a business and I run it as such. For me, operating "for profit" brings an obligation to protect my customers and to comply with all regulations.

Insurance companies HATE that the iTroll controls the throttle of a boat and their rates reflect this. Unfortunately, this gets built into the price of every iTroll. However, my customers are protected in case the unforeseen happens.

The law states that wireless devices, MUST have FCC certification, so we comply. There is another reason why this is important .....

FCC certification is required to USE a wireless product. Operating a non compliant product is breaking the law.

We suspect that at least one competitor is not on a level playing field and is doing business without PL Insurance or FCC certification. Wireless products need a certification number to be legal, his does not have a number. The statement "Our remote would pass FCC" is not enough. Think about this statement . . . "Officer, I know how to drive, therefore, I don't need a license". Ask questions, demand proof, be informed.
